Company career pages

If you already know the employer, check its official career page. Compare the legal company name, role and application destination with any copy shown on a job board.

Use the employer's own website and privacy notice

Private job sites may require registration and may contain advertisements, recruitment-company listings or employer-posted information. Read each service's current terms and privacy policy before creating an account.

BASIC SEARCH ORDER

Four steps before you apply.

This is general preparation. Immigration permission and individual employment conditions must be confirmed with the responsible authority or employer.

  1. 01
    CHECK YOUR SITUATION

Know what work you may do

Your status of residence and any applicable permission determine which paid activities are allowed. Check actual duties, not only the job title.

Official information on activities outside status
  2. 02
    SET SEARCH CONDITIONS

    Use your own filters

Search by location, duties, employment type, schedule, salary, required Japanese level and whether overseas applications are accepted.

  3. 03
    COMPARE SOURCES

    Open the original information

Look at more than one site and, when possible, confirm the same role on the employer's official career page.

  4. 04
    KEEP A RECORD

    Save what you applied for

Keep the job post, date, submitted documents, destination, interview messages and written offer so you can compare later changes.

CHECK THE JOB POST

Read beyond the headline.

A high salary, “no Japanese required” or “visa support” does not explain the whole job. Confirm the work and conditions in writing.
